We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team at BCG X. Ventures in Singapore. As part of BCG X, we bring together a global community of entrepreneurs, designers, and engineers to build and launch digital businesses that create strategic advantages for the world's most influential companies.

Responsibilities

• Develop groundbreaking products that solve genuine customer challenges.
• Collaborate within a diverse, multi-skilled team to write high-quality code.
• Prioritize software excellence, focusing on security, scalability, testability, and operability.
• Utilize modern technologies to address real-world problems.
• Promote agile methodologies to support iterative and efficient product development.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and culture of our Singapore engineering cohort.
• Design and maintain highly scalable frontend services.
• Engage in technical knowledge sharing through pair programming, code reviews, and design discussions.

Must-haves

• Strong background in professional software development.
• Proven experience delivering solutions across a variety of technologies and programming languages.
• Proficiency in building frontend applications using React, React Native, TypeScript, or Angular.
• Expertise in creating cross-browser applications with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Practical DevOps experience, including the ability to configure and maintain build environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery practices, such as TDD and unit testing.
• Strong communication skills for sharing ideas and technical decisions with team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with virtualization tools like Docker.
• Background in native or hybrid mobile development.
• Experience with hardware prototyping and hacking, such as using Arduino.
• Previous entrepreneurial or startup experience.
