BCG X is the tech build and design powerhouse of BCG, bringing together a global collective of entrepreneurs, engineers, and venture architects to create strategic digital businesses. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team in Singapore on a full-time, on-site basis to help us build innovative solutions that disrupt markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop groundbreaking products that solve genuine customer challenges.
• Collaborate within a diverse, multi-skilled team to write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Prioritize software excellence, focusing on security, scalability, testability, and operability.
• Utilize modern technologies to address real-world problems.
• Promote Agile practices to support iterative product development.
• Participate in a transparent and collaborative culture where every voice is heard.
• Help grow our engineering cohort in Singapore.
• Communicate your passion for scalable frontend services.
• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and design discussions to share technical insights.

Must-haves

• Proven experience in software development and the delivery of complex technical solutions.
• Strong proficiency in building frontend applications using React, React Native, TypeScript, or Angular.
• Expertise in designing cross-browser applications with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• DevOps capability to configure and maintain your own development and build environments.
• Experience with Agile and Continuous Delivery methodologies, including unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to various stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with virtualization tools like Docker or Vagrant.
• Experience with native or hybrid mobile development for iOS or Android.
• Background in hardware hacking or prototyping, such as working with Arduino.
• Previous experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
