Engineer at Oklo

We are excited to invite talented engineers to join Oklo, a California-based company dedicated to creating a cleaner future. We are developing advanced fission technology to provide reliable, emission-free, and affordable energy. Our team has spent over five years hitting major milestones, including securing a site permit from the U.S. Department of Energy and submitting the first accepted license application for an advanced fission design. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join us on a full-time, remote basis to help us scale our impact and bring our microgrid powerhouses to the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop and propose novel, creative solutions to complex technical challenges while working in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment.
• Collaborate effectively within a dynamic team, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure high-quality results and collective growth.
• Communicate technical concepts and project outcomes clearly, both in writing and through verbal presentations, to support our mission and team goals.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in an engineering field.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering with a strong desire to make advanced fission a reality.
• A self-motivated mindset with the ability to solve open-ended problems without needing constant guidance.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write in a clear, active voice.
• A collaborative spirit that prioritizes team success over individual recognition.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining excellence in all technical and professional outputs.

What we offer

We provide a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $180,000, with final compensation determined based on your unique experience and expertise. In addition to pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members, including:
