Engineer, Data Platforms at CoreWeave

CoreWeave is a specialized cloud provider that delivers massive GPU compute resources on top of the industry’s fastest and most flexible infrastructure. We build cloud solutions for compute-intensive use cases, such as machine learning, AI, VFX, rendering, and batch processing, which are significantly faster and more cost-effective than generalized public clouds. We are currently looking for a junior-level Data Platforms Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity.

Key outcomes

• Identify and develop data applications by understanding business needs and creating effective, scalable solutions.
• Implement managed data delivery solutions for internal teams.
• Participate in the ongoing operations and scaling of our relational data platforms.
• Design and develop stream processing architectures with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Enhance the security, reliability, and scalability of our data platforms while participating in the team’s on-call rotation.
• Establish clear guidelines and guardrails for data storage and access.
• Ensure all data practices remain in compliance with relevant protection regulations.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in operating production services at scale, including knowledge of reliability engineering concepts like observability, fault-tolerant design, and testing.
• A strong understanding of concurrency and data consistency models.
• Experience with distributed datastores such as CockroachDB or Cassandra, and stream processing tools like Kafka.
• Practical experience managing services within a Kubernetes environment, ideally using the operator pattern for stateful or event-driven orchestration.
• Technical proficiency with Linux distributions, including shell scripting and networking or storage stacks.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Compensation

The base annual salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $185,000, depending on individual skills, experience, and market location. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
