Our team is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of life-saving technology at our facility in Hawthorne, New York.
The opportunity
As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in shaping the software that powers our robotics and medical devices. You will work across the full stack, from low-level driver development to high-level application software. This is a collaborative position where you will partner closely with our mechanical, electrical, and optics teams to define requirements and create internal tools that make our product development process faster and more efficient. We offer a dynamic environment where your contributions will grow alongside the company.
A day in the life
- You will build and maintain software for our medical devices, working within a robust and well-established robotics framework.
- You will develop drivers to ensure seamless communication between our software and hardware components, including motor controllers, cameras, scanners, and PLC systems.
- You will design and implement complex algorithms to control our multi-component mechatronic systems, while also managing software documentation and performing thorough unit testing to ensure reliability.
Who you are
You are a Senior engineer with a passion for robotics and medical device development. You possess a strong background in software development, algorithm design, and technical documentation. Because we work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, you are comfortable communicating in English and thrive when working with diverse engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Why you'll love it here
We are a fast-growing company that values professional development. Joining us means you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility as we scale our operations. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in medical technology, and we provide a supportive environment where your expertise in embedded systems will have a direct impact on our products and the patients they serve.
