What you bring
We are looking for an Executive Embedded Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis at our office in Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will work alongside our researchers and hardware experts to build sophisticated robotic systems. Your work will be central to our mission, and you will play a key role in defining the future of our technology using your expertise in Linux, RTOS, and embedded systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance embedded software for a variety of robotic applications.
- Conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of reliability and quality across our software stack.
- Collaborating with electrical engineers to integrate custom hardware components into our robotic platforms.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 12 years of experience delivering production-level code and a degree in a field like Computer Science, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering. We need someone who is highly proficient in C++17 or newer and comfortable working within Linux-based environments. You must have a strong background in debugging, CI/CD pipelines, and implementing real-time systems. We are looking for a technical lead who can mentor other developers and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. You should be comfortable using hardware tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes, and you must have experience with communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI.
