What you bring

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer working on a full-time basis, you will serve as the essential bridge between our software and hardware teams. You will be responsible for the software that powers our Orbi devices, which are the core of our solution in professional kitchens. This role is based in the Netherlands and operates in a hybrid environment, focusing on the following core responsibilities:

• Maintaining and enhancing the embedded software that runs on our devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborating closely with our hardware team to manage integration, quality control, and structural device improvements.
• Developing new features and troubleshooting technical issues to keep our product at the cutting edge of sustainability tech.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset. You should have 3 to 5 years of experience in embedded development, with deep expertise in C/C++ for microcontrollers and wireless communication protocols. A solid understanding of embedded Linux, including kernel configuration and build systems, is essential. You should also be comfortable working with hardware, including debugging electronics and PCBA components. Proficiency in Golang or Python for scripting and tooling is required. We value candidates who are self-driven, capable of taking full ownership of projects, and comfortable communicating in English within a cross-functional team.
