We are Lexington Medical, a venture-backed medical device company that designs and manufactures minimally invasive surgical stapling solutions. Our engineering and manufacturing teams serve a thriving market valued at more than five billion dollars, delivering tools that help healthcare providers improve patient outcomes. We are growing quickly and are looking for a mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to join us in a hybrid role based in the United States.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the design, development, testing, and documentation of embedded software that powers our surgical stapling systems, ensuring every release meets strict industry and regulatory standards.
- Work side-by-side with hardware engineers, system architects, quality teams, and regulatory specialists to define interfaces, integrate components, and deliver reliable, compliant products.
- Partner with regulatory affairs to prepare documentation, support product submissions, and keep all development processes aligned with FDA guidelines for medical device software.
What you'll bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of hands-on experience developing embedded systems, with a solid track record in software-hardware integration.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, .NET C#, or Python, plus practical experience with version control tools such as Git and issue-tracking platforms.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and the ability to work comfortably in multidisciplinary teams.
- English fluency and, ideally, prior exposure to medical device regulations and FDA software guidelines.
What you'll get
We offer a hybrid work arrangement that balances focused individual work with in-person collaboration.
