The role
We are seeking a Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. This is a senior-level position for a visionary leader who will guide our technical direction and help mentor our engineering staff. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our products, ensuring that our firmware meets the highest standards of reliability and performance as we scale our impact across global markets.
Core responsibilities
- Provide high-level technical leadership by designing and developing advanced embedded firmware that sets the benchmark for quality and performance.
- Architect scalable software solutions and collaborate with cross-functional hardware and product teams to execute our firmware roadmap.
- Lead the implementation of rigorous testing strategies and mentor our engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering and a passion for building robust systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development, including a proven history of delivering complex projects.
- Mastery of programming languages such as Python, Rust, and C++, alongside deep expertise in embedded systems and software architecture.
- A solid understanding of networking, communication protocols, and data security to ensure our products remain secure and robust.
- Experience with advanced testing methodologies and a commitment to developing maintainable, high-quality code.
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to align stakeholders and lead technical discussions effectively.
Compensation and benefits
