We are Civiltec Engineering, and we pride ourselves on being a nimble team that values speed and efficiency. We are currently looking for an Electrical Staff Engineer, EIT, to join our fast-paced group and help us tackle complex design challenges.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. We are looking for a junior-level professional who is eager to grow their career within a collaborative engineering environment.
What will you do?
- You will work under moderate supervision to create essential project deliverables, including single line diagrams, control schematics, power and lighting plans, and detailed control panel layouts.
- You will handle technical calculations and analyses, such as short circuit studies, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, radio path signal analysis, and photometric calculations.
- You will collaborate closely with our civil and mechanical design teams, prepare technical reports and memorandums, and occasionally travel as project needs dictate.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. We require the following qualifications:
- A BSEE degree and either an EIT certification or a passing score on the FE exam.
- Practical experience using AutoCAD for design work.
- High competency in using Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and scheduling.
- Bonus points if you have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code or experience with water and wastewater system design.
- Extra credit if you are familiar with specialized electrical software like AGI32, Pathloss, SKM, or E-Tap.
