Electrical Staff Engineer at Civiltec Engineering, Inc

We are Civiltec Engineering, and we pride ourselves on being a nimble team that values speed and efficiency. We are currently looking for an Electrical Staff Engineer, EIT, to join our fast-paced group and help us tackle complex design challenges.

What is this role?

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. We are looking for a junior-level professional who is eager to grow their career within a collaborative engineering environment.

What will you do?

• You will work under moderate supervision to create essential project deliverables, including single line diagrams, control schematics, power and lighting plans, and detailed control panel layouts.
• You will handle technical calculations and analyses, such as short circuit studies, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, radio path signal analysis, and photometric calculations.
• You will collaborate closely with our civil and mechanical design teams, prepare technical reports and memorandums, and occasionally travel as project needs dictate.

To succeed in this role, you should be a self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. We require the following qualifications:

• A BSEE degree and either an EIT certification or a passing score on the FE exam.
• Practical experience using AutoCAD for design work.
• High competency in using Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and scheduling.
• Bonus points if you have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code or experience with water and wastewater system design.
• Extra credit if you are familiar with specialized electrical software like AGI32, Pathloss, SKM, or E-Tap.
