At REGENT, we are pioneering the future of coastal travel with our seaglider, the world’s first electric flying machine designed to transport commercial passengers. By operating just a few meters above the water, our vehicles achieve twice the range of traditional electric aircraft while meeting maritime certification standards. With over $9 billion in orders and backing from the visionaries behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, we are currently preparing our full-scale, human-carrying prototype for the water. We are looking for mission-driven individuals to help us revolutionize transportation by mid-decade.
The role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will be an integral part of our engineering department, focusing on the design, analysis, and integration of avionics and electrical systems. This position is perfect for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and possesses a strong grasp of both hardware implementation and system-level integration.
Core responsibilities
- Manage the complete development cycle for electrical components, including design, specification, procurement, and debugging through final vehicle integration.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless interaction between electrical systems and mechanical counterparts like propulsion and actuation.
- Perform hands-on fabrication tasks, such as building harnesses, populating enclosures with COTS components, and creating evaluation circuits for testing.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles and a commitment to safety and quality. Required qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 2 years of professional experience within the Aerospace, Maritime, or Automotive industries.
- Proficiency with low-voltage power distribution, protection, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
- Experience architecting and troubleshooting serial networks such as CAN, RS485/422, ARINC 429, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with standard test equipment and the documentation of electronic subsystems.
- Fluency in English and a willingness to travel as required by program stages.
Compensation and benefits
We are dedicated to supporting the well-being of our team members through a comprehensive benefits package. Our offerings include:
- Full coverage of annual premiums for dental and vision insurance.
- Equity compensation through our employee incentive plan.
- A 401k retirement plan.
- Flexible hours and generous paid time off.
- Relocation assistance for those moving to join our team.
How to apply
If you are passionate about building zero-emission technology and want to help us change the way the world travels, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this opportunity to join our growing team at REGENT.
