Role at a glance
We are looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our product development team on a full-time, on-site basis. This position is based at our headquarters in Novi, Michigan, where you will help us design and refine the next generation of energy storage technology.
Your impact
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for our energy storage products while ensuring full compliance with the National Electrical Code and other industry standards.
- Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical layouts using CAD software to capture system architecture and equipment placement.
- Conduct critical safety evaluations, including short circuit analysis and arc flash calculations, to ensure our systems meet the highest operational and safety requirements.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Three to eight years of professional experience, ideally with a focus on power distribution or energy storage.
- Strong technical proficiency in CAD design, component sizing, and the selection of AC and DC electrical systems.
- A solid understanding of Li-ion batteries, grid tie inverters, and international electrical standards like IEC, CE, or UL.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you can translate complex technical concepts for various stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
