Since 2017, Alliance North America has built a reputation as the primary North American supplier for AIRMAN power generators and air compressors, as well as our own innovative Energy Boss hybrid energy systems. We are a team dedicated to making our customers' lives easier by providing reliable solutions, maintaining a massive parts inventory, and offering world-class support. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer with a passion for power system controls to join our team at our headquarters in Henderson, Nevada.
The opportunity
In this full-time, onsite role, you will be a key player in our research and development efforts. Reporting directly to our Senior R&D Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and testing the power electronics that drive our equipment. This is a perfect fit for someone who enjoys deep technical challenges, from circuit design to control strategies, and wants to see their work make a tangible impact on high-power generation systems ranging from 10kVA to over 1MVA.
A day in the life
- You will lead the automation and electrical design process by creating detailed schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and selecting the critical components like inverters and transformers that power our systems.
- You will bridge the gap between concept and reality by performing rigorous simulations, conducting thermal and electromagnetic compatibility testing, and validating prototypes to ensure they meet our high standards for reliability.
- You will collaborate across departments, working alongside mechanical engineers and software developers to ensure our projects remain on schedule while maintaining strict compliance with industry standards like UL, IEC, and IEEE.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with 7 to 10 years of experience in power electronics design. You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, though a Master’s degree is preferred. You are comfortable working in an English-speaking environment and are currently based in the United States with authorization to work here. Your technical toolkit includes:
- Expertise in power semiconductor devices, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC/GaN transistors.
- A strong command of digital and analog control techniques.
- Experience with design for manufacturability and high-power applications, such as renewable energy or electric vehicles.
- A creative, analytical mindset that aligns with our core values of root cause problem-solving and building honest, inclusive relationships.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in taking care of our people so they can focus on doing their best work. When you join our team, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and future, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
