By utilizing next-generation satellite technology that offers image quality 60 times greater than traditional methods, we are expanding humanity's ability to monitor and respond to global events.

The role

We are seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our avionics team on a full-time, on-site basis within the United States. This is a unique opportunity to help build the first autonomous, formation-flying distributed satellite constellation. You will work across disciplines, collaborating with our radar, radio frequency, mechanical, and flight software teams to take hardware from initial design concepts all the way to operational deployment in space.

Core responsibilities

• Design and validate avionics electronics while working alongside our GNC, mechanical, and flight software teams.
• Perform system and module-level design to support our groundbreaking multi-function satellite constellation.
• Create spacecraft hardware specifications, requirements, and test procedures, while also supporting flight software bring-up through the implementation of hardware test plans.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in electronics design, fabrication, and testing. We value candidates who are self-motivated, accountable, and capable of learning new concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment. You must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Compliance with ITAR requirements, meaning you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise eligible under U.S. export regulations.

Preferred Skills:

• A Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least two years of experience designing avionics, flight-control systems, or electronics for mission-critical space-flight applications.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment with specialized test equipment.
• A strong understanding of computer systems and programming languages.
• Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
