eCommerce Engineer at Hydrow

We created the Live Outdoor Reality rowing machine to bring the experience of on-water rowing directly into homes, led by world-class athletes. As we continue to disrupt the marketplace, we are looking for a talented eCommerce Engineer to join our team and help us scale our direct-to-consumer platform.

What you'll be doing

• Build, optimize, and scale the web experience for our headless eCommerce platform to drive high-performance, conversion-focused features.
• Collaborate closely with our product, UX, and marketing teams to implement innovative solutions that elevate the user experience on Hydrow.com.
• Take ownership of technical initiatives and participate in our support rotation to manage site performance, availability, and incident response.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who is passionate about modern web development and eager to work within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 2 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications using React frameworks like Next.js.
• At least 1 year of experience working with headless eCommerce services.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend practices, including the ability to build responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• A solid understanding of web architecture, including API-first integrations, serverless functions, and performance optimization for core web vitals.
• Experience with analytics tools, tag management, and SEO principles to support data-driven decision making.
• Fluency in English and the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment within the United States.
