Our Information Technology team is currently looking for a detail-oriented DLP Administrator to lead our enterprise-wide data loss prevention operations. In this role, you will serve as the primary owner of our DLP strategy, working within a dedicated team to evolve our technology footprint. While this is a remote-friendly position, we have a preference for candidates located in or near Richmond, Virginia.
Key outcomes
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive suite of DLP tools tailored to protect sensitive information within our pharmaceutical environment.
- Configure and maintain security policies to prevent unauthorized data access or loss across all organizational systems.
- Establish and lead incident response procedures for potential data breaches, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective remediation.
- Align security policies with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and various NIST frameworks.
- Analyze DLP alerts and logs to identify trends, conduct root-cause analysis, and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop training initiatives to foster a culture of data security awareness among employees.
- Perform regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities in data handling.
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and manage vendor relationships for software updates and enhancements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in information security or data protection, specifically with hands-on administration of DLP technologies like Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Symantec, or McAfee.
- Solid understanding of network security, endpoint security, and SIEM tools.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, or ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage complex projects independently.
- Excellent communication skills and an unwavering commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and integrity.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
- Proximity to our primary location in Richmond, Virginia.
