What is this role?
We are looking for a Director, Telecoms Program Delivery to join our technology team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level Director position that requires a leader capable of managing complex, large-scale initiatives. You will report directly to the VP, Head of Telecommunications and play a pivotal role in the operational success of the 2028 Games. This role operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a balance of remote work and travel to venue sites to ensure our infrastructure is ready for the world stage.
What will you do?
- Translate our high-level telecommunications strategy into detailed, actionable project plans, budgets, and timelines for all competition and non-competition venues.
- Manage the daily execution of the telecoms program, which includes tracking progress, identifying potential bottlenecks, and resolving operational challenges as they arise.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external telecom partners, and technology integrators to ensure all milestones are met on time and within budget.

To be successful in this role, you should bring a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Over 10 years of experience in telecommunications program or project management, ideally within the context of large-scale events or complex venue environments.
- A strong grasp of telecom infrastructure, including fiber networks, 5G, and WiFi technologies.
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end program delivery, including vendor oversight, risk management, and financial tracking.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to report clearly to senior leadership.
- A commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and a track record of fostering inclusive team cultures.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, with a PMP certification or similar project management credentials strongly preferred.
