At Hanna Andersson, we are the champions of childhood. Based in Portland, Oregon, we have built a reputation as a premier brand for baby and kids clothing that is made to play, made to last, and designed to let kids be kids. Our core commitments to quality, design, and sustainability drive everything we do, helping families create meaningful everyday moments. We are looking for people who share these values and want to join a collaborative, growth-driven environment where we all contribute to our collective success.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Director, Technical Program Management to lead our most complex software development initiatives. This executive role is vital to our mission, as you will oversee high-level technology programs that span multiple disciplines and teams. You will bridge the gap between strategic vision and tactical execution, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our business goals. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, requiring occasional travel to our Portland office to connect with the team in person.
A day in the life
- You will drive the end-to-end lifecycle of complex software projects, from initial planning and requirements gathering to final delivery, while coordinating cross-functional teams of developers, QA testers, and business analysts.
- You will serve as a mentor and leader for our project management staff, fostering a collaborative culture and facilitating clear communication between stakeholders, external vendors, and technical teams.
- You will proactively identify risks and manage project issues, while continuously refining our processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and project outcomes across the organization.
Who you are
You are a seasoned leader with over 10 years of progressive experience in technical project management, specifically within the software development space. You possess a deep understanding of both agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, as well as traditional PMI methodologies, and you know how to choose the right approach for the task at hand. You are comfortable navigating ecommerce and web-based projects, and you have a proven track record of managing vendor relationships and complex budgets. Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Trello is essential for your success in this role. You communicate fluently in English and hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a PMP or Scrum Master certification being a significant advantage.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in helping our team members maintain a healthy balance in their daily lives. By joining us, you will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to blend the benefits of remote work with the energy of in-person collaboration at our Portland headquarters.
