Our digital marketplace provides critical resources for businesses to grow while helping buyers at Fortune 1000 companies access global manufacturing capacity, and we are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to lead the teams building our core customer quoting experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor our software engineering team, focusing on recruiting and developing high-caliber talent across North and South America.
Provide hands-on technical guidance by actively contributing to code and troubleshooting while managing project timelines.
Ensure operational excellence by delivering high-performance, secure, and reliable software that exceeds customer expectations.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and leadership to foster a culture of open communication and integrated teamwork.
Drive innovation by championing modern technologies and methodologies to improve our overall problem-solving efficiency.

Must-haves

At least 8 years of professional experience in software development.
A minimum of 4 years of experience leading software teams within a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Proven experience managing other managers or team leads across multiple groups.
Strong technical proficiency or the ability to quickly master Python, frontend technologies like React and TypeScript, AWS cloud services, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders ranging from executive leadership to individual contributors.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Nice-to-haves

Previous experience working with marketplace products.
