We are looking for a Director of Public Relations & Marketing to help us grow the cultural impact of webcomics and web novels. As part of Tapas Entertainment, a Kakao Entertainment company, you will join a powerhouse that brings together Tapas Media, Radish, and Wuxiaworld to serve over 19 million readers with a massive catalog of digital series. You will work from our Culver City office in a hybrid capacity, reporting to leadership teams in both the United States and Korea.

Responsibilities

Identify key market trends and opportunities for our platforms within North America.
Oversee media inquiries across the U.S. and Canada while crafting messaging that elevates our corporate brand.
Manage our presence on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord, and Reddit to build an engaged community.
Develop and maintain strong connections with reporters in the comics, book, and publishing industries.
Plan and execute high-impact events and initiatives throughout the U.S. in collaboration with our internal teams.

Must-haves

Between 5 and 8 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
A genuine passion for and deep knowledge of Korean webcomics, anime, manga, and broader Korean culture.
Proven ability to develop digital content and successfully pitch stories to media outlets.
A data-driven mindset that uses analytics to inform and improve marketing strategies.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Existing relationships with media contacts in the U.S. publishing or comics sectors.
The ability to speak or understand the Korean language.
