Director, Product Management at Weedmaps

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join our team in a hybrid capacity, requiring 3 to 4 days of onsite work per week. As a leader at Weedmaps, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the cannabis economy. Our company is a premier technology and software infrastructure provider, powering a global marketplace that connects consumers with brands and retailers while offering essential B2B SaaS tools for the industry. You will oversee multiple product lines, guiding a team of professionals to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the consumer experience, drive revenue, and support our mission of fostering a transparent and inclusive cannabis ecosystem.

Key outcomes

• Lead a product department to drive innovation, maximize user retention, and increase revenue across our portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to maintain a holistic, strategic product roadmap.
• Utilize quantitative research, industry trends, and user feedback to identify new growth opportunities.
• Partner with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment, define business cases, and execute efficient product delivery.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
• Establish and track key performance indicators to measure team success and provide actionable feedback.
• Ensure all product initiatives are thoroughly documented and communicated across the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in revenue-generating product leadership, specifically within marketplaces or strong user communities.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience managing and developing other leaders.
• Proven expertise in at least two of the following business models: e-commerce, subscription, or advertising.
• Deep understanding of mobile commerce, including user acquisition, discovery, and order flows.
• Strong proficiency in product development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build alignment across matrixed organizations.
• Fluency in English.
