Director, Product Design at Seed Health

We are a microbiome science company dedicated to pioneering innovations in probiotics and living medicines that improve both human and planetary health. Our work spans a diverse range of fields, including gastrointestinal, women’s, and dermatological health, as well as environmental restoration through our SeedLabs division. We are looking for an exceptional Director of Product Design to lead our team in crafting intuitive, perspective-shifting digital experiences that translate complex science into meaningful stories.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of user-centered experiences by working across our brand and product teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, brand designers, researchers, and writers to build delightful experiences that drive engagement.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of our product design vision.
• Oversee the development of a long-term vision for our end-to-end service experience.
• Manage the design lifecycle from initial concepts and storyboards to final prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
• Establish and monitor quality standards to ensure all work aligns with our brand and business goals.
• Mentor and manage the product design team by setting priorities and fostering professional growth.
• Provide thought leadership on design trends and best practices to inspire our internal work.

Must-haves

• At least 8 years of experience in design, including 4 or more years in a management role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in product design, branding, and website design.
• Proven experience in growing and scaling a consumer brand.
• Expertise in industry-standard design software, specifically Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design strategy to cross-functional partners.
• A strong network of freelance collaborators.
• A Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Fluency in English.
