What You’ll Do
As the Director of Product Design at Gabb, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our users’ experiences. You will be responsible for creating and clarifying our product strategy, conceptualizing UX ecosystems for HW and SW to simplify complexity, and inspiring teams to push the boundaries of what's possible. As the ideal candidate, you should have a proven track record of creating delightful and impactful global consumer experiences across HW and SW rooted in user needs. Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop a clear vision of the future of user experience and pursue forward-thinking design while inspiring teams to push boundaries.
- Lead the UX team to deliver intuitive, engaging, and transformative user experiences across all Gabb products and services.
- Guide product, design, and implementation to ensure a seamless and impactful user journey.
- Partner with leaders in Marketing and Brand Creative to ensure product designs are in line with branding guidelines.
- Work with product managers and influence the product roadmap and champion a user-centered design culture.
- Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing and developing Designers.
- Create and drive adoption of design guidelines, mechanisms, best practices, processes, and tools with a heavy emphasis on rapid prototyping and testing to learn.
- Drive operational excellence across the team that cultivates a positive environment and inclusive culture.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in Product Design with 4+ years in a leadership role.
- Have delivered exceptional consumer technology experiences at the intersection of hardware and software
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to grow and lead a talented team of designers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels, including senior executives.
- Experience in driving operational excellence and cultivating a positive environment and inclusive culture.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and craft specific and actionable vision and design concepts.
- Skilled at balancing visual, motion, and interaction design to create a delightful customer experience.
