We are a healthcare company dedicated to detecting cancer early, when it is most curable. By combining next-generation sequencing, population-scale clinical studies, and advanced data science, our multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and physicians is working to transform the future of cancer care. We are currently seeking an experienced Director, People Business Partner to join our team in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will serve as the primary HR leader for our flagship laboratory, supporting our Development and Operations functions. You will play a vital role in shaping our local culture and ensuring our people strategies align with our broader mission. Please note that this position requires you to be on-site at least four days per week, with occasional travel to our California headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, designing and implementing organizational structures that scale effectively while guiding teams through periods of growth and transition.
- Manage complex employee relations matters with fairness and legal compliance, while driving core HR programs such as performance management, compensation planning, and talent reviews.
- Foster an inclusive and engaging workplace by collaborating with site operations and leadership to embed our core values, promote safety, and amplify the employee voice through community-building initiatives.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of progressive experience in people partnership, specifically supporting both exempt and non-exempt roles within laboratory or technical operations.
- Demonstrated success in organizational design, change management, and coaching senior leaders through complex business transformations.
- Strong project management capabilities and proficiency with HRIS platforms and data analytics to drive evidence-based decision-making.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree or professional HR certifications are considered a plus.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
What we offer
