This position can be based out of any of our six offices: San Luis Obispo, San Diego, Ontario, Laguna Hills, Folsom, and Portland OR.

What You Will Do

• You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to successful delivery of water infrastructure planning, design, and/or program management of medium to large scale wastewater and/or recycled water systems.
• You will oversee client service management and strengthen existing client relationships through exceptional project delivery, development of new client relationships, and identification of future business opportunities. 
• Provide a vision for growing WSC’s Wastewater Practice, including quality and knowledge management, continually improving internal resources, training, and engaging in industry associations and research.
• Provide project workshop leadership, facilitation of alternatives analysis evaluation, and decision making.
• Pursue and lead strategic pursuits in the wastewater and recycled water space to create lifetime client relationships, including premarketing efforts, proposal development, and interview preparation. 
• Mentor entry-level professionals.
• Help facilitate recruitment and growth for WSC’s wastewater practice. 
• Oversee water, wastewater and/or recycled water planning, design, and/or program management projects, including development and oversight of scope, budget, and schedule.
• Preparation of high-quality written work products potentially including masterplans, technical memoranda, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Collaborate with WSC teams to utilize strengths and identify opportunities to gain additional skills for the staff/company.
• This position will require some travel throughout California, Oregon, and Washington.

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field. PhD preferred.
• P.E. registration in California or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of wastewater industry standards and regulations as they pertain to wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience delivering successful and collaborative project performance that achieves clients’ goals, including cost-effective, sustainable, energy-efficient, operator-friendly, and innovative valuable outcomes.
• 10+ years of experience in planning, design and/or construction of wastewater and/or recycled water facilities.
• Demonstration of understanding and defining project goals and requirements.
• Team first mindset. You enjoy collaborating, learning, teaching, and are active in creating a positive team dynamic.
• Active participant in related professional associations and knowledge of the latest industry treatment trends.
• Desire to operate with freedom and accountability. A willingness to embrace innovation to solve complex project/client challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing proposals and presentations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to serve as a dedicated client service partner and demonstrate responsiveness, clear communication, quality delivery, mindful listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiasm about mentoring and advocating within our team.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000 annually and may be more or less depending on experience.
