About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Wastewater Practice to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a leadership position where you will be responsible for guiding our wastewater initiatives, managing client relationships, and mentoring our growing staff. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our practice while ensuring we continue to provide the hands-on, visionary service our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams through the planning, design, and program management of complex wastewater and recycled water infrastructure projects.
- Drive the growth of our wastewater practice by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic proposals, and cultivating long-term client partnerships.
- Mentor junior staff members and facilitate recruitment efforts to expand our team while overseeing project budgets, schedules, and the delivery of high-quality technical documentation.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a PhD being highly preferred.
- Current P.E. registration in California, or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within six months of starting.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the planning, design, or construction of wastewater and recycled water facilities.
- Strong expertise in wastewater industry standards and a proven track record of delivering sustainable, innovative project outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and draft complex technical reports and contract documents.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring others.
Location
This position is an on-site role based in the United States. You may choose to work out of any of our six offices located in San Luis Obispo, San Diego, Ontario, Laguna Hills, Folsom, or Portland, OR.
Compensation and Benefits
