Key outcomes

• Define and execute the overall strategy for security governance, implementing both preventive and reactive controls within our cloud environment.
• Operate in a DevSecOps capacity, partnering closely with our engineering and infrastructure teams to integrate security across every layer of our technology stack.
• Collaborate with operations teams to deploy robust intrusion detection and prevention solutions.
• Design and implement security architecture and controls that satisfy all audit, compliance, and security requirements.
• Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring they are resolved or escalated appropriately.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all security systems and internal procedures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience partnering with development teams to secure front-end applications, such as React, and backend services, including Python and Ruby.
• Deep expertise in auditing and securing AWS cloud infrastructure within highly regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in managing and securing containerized workloads and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
• Experience writing and reviewing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of Application Security principles, including SAST, DAST, and the remediation of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a security team and fostering the professional development of engineers.
