The opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Security and IT to unify our information security and IT functions under a single, cohesive strategy. This role is pivotal as we scale and move upmarket, requiring a leader who can balance security, compliance, and privacy needs with the practical requirements of employee productivity and user experience. You will manage our existing IT and security leaders, helping them grow while ensuring our internal practices mature alongside our business. Whether you join us at the Senior Manager or Director level, you will play a key role in shaping how we protect our infrastructure and support our internal partners.

A day in the life

• Define and unify our overarching strategy for IT, security, and compliance, ensuring we have a clear, long-term roadmap that matures as our organization scales.
• Lead and mentor our IT and security teams, fostering a data-driven, outcome-oriented culture where leaders and individual contributors can thrive.
• Balance risk and productivity by assessing our appetite for risk and implementing controls that secure our systems without hindering the speed and innovation of our engineering culture.

Who you are

You are a people-first leader who understands that great technology is built by empowered, diverse teams. You possess a strong background in managing information security functions alongside IT, internal tooling, or platform teams. While you do not need to be a subject matter expert in every technical detail, you are fluent in the concerns of both domains and have experience navigating the unique challenges of a B2B SaaS environment. You are comfortable defining and communicating strategy, and you have a proven track record of at least three years in people management, including at least one year managing other managers. You value automation, understand the importance of compliance programs like SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and are committed to building an inclusive workplace that reflects the diverse industry we serve.

We offer a base salary range of $200,000 to $260,000 USD, which is benchmarked to the San Francisco market regardless of where you live. Beyond compensation, we provide a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support your life and career:
