Director of Product at Pie Insurance

We are looking for a Director of Product to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio that includes our company-wide data engineering initiatives as well as business systems for our finance and claims workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product vision for data engineering, shifting our approach from reactive feature requests to a proactive strategy that utilizes deep business insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Define and implement a new operating model for managing third-party business systems, ensuring that our product management processes effectively integrate with these external platforms.
• Foster high-trust relationships with senior leadership and technology partners to serve as a strategic advisor while delivering on key platform roll-outs for billing, finance, and claims.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience solving complex business or technology problems.
• Minimum of 5 years of product management experience within an agile software development environment.
• At least 3 years of experience managing direct reports, including at least 1 year specifically managing product managers.
• Advanced proficiency in continuous product discovery, quantitative analysis, and modern software development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex information for various stakeholders and influence strategic direction.
• Experience using analytics tools like Looker to support data-driven decision-making.

What we offer
