Welcome to Close. We are a bootstrapped and profitable team of about 90 people, fully remote and dedicated to helping small businesses grow through our modern, all-in-one CRM. We value autonomy and impact, and we are looking for a Director of Product to help us continue building software that our 6,000 plus customers love. Our product team operates using a Shape Up-inspired process, focusing on deep work and six-week cycles to ship meaningful solutions. We are a data-driven group that prioritizes customer feedback and collaborative development between product, design, and engineering.
What you'll be doing
- Lead customer development by deeply understanding user motivations and business needs, while establishing processes that keep our entire team focused on solving real problems.
- Own the product roadmap and strategy, defining our vision in alignment with company goals, measuring success through metrics like NRR, and ensuring we balance iterative improvements with creative new features.
- Manage and mentor our Product Management and Product Design teams, fostering a culture of growth and high performance while overseeing recruitment to maintain our high standards.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should be a strategic leader with a passion for building high-quality SaaS products. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a product leadership or management role.
- At least 6 years of experience shipping successful, high-quality products, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and metrics to inform your decision-making process.
- A critical eye for product design and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- The ability to travel occasionally for team meetups and customer visits.
- Residency within the United States.
- Fluency in English.
What you'll get
We offer a supportive environment that values your well-being and professional growth. Our benefits package for US-based employees includes:
- Remote work flexibility, with the option to choose between a standard 5-day work week or a 4-day work week at 80% pay.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with an HSA option.
- 401k matching at 6%.
- Dependent care FSA.
- 5 weeks of paid time off, plus a winter holiday break and additional tenure-based PTO.
- A 1-month paid sabbatical every 5 years.
- Paid parental leave.
- Opportunities for professional development and tuition reimbursement.
