Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, and fully remote team of approximately 90 people dedicated to building a modern, all-in-one CRM that helps small businesses grow. We are looking for a Director of Product to lead our product development strategy, oversee our design and management teams, and ensure we continue delivering high-quality, impactful solutions for our 6,000+ customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer development by deeply understanding user motivations, analyzing market trends, and fostering a customer-centric culture across the product team.
- Own the product roadmap, defining the long-term vision while balancing iterative improvements with creative new initiatives to drive business goals.
- Maintain a high bar for product quality and design, ensuring our software feels modern and effectively solves real-world problems.
- Refine and evolve our Shape Up-inspired development process to ensure efficient, high-quality collaboration between product, design, and engineering.
- Manage and mentor the Product Management and Product Design teams, including direct oversight of the Group Product Manager and Product Design Manager.
- Lead recruitment efforts to grow our product and design teams with high-quality talent.
Must-haves
- Current residency in the United States.
- At least 3 years of experience in a product leadership or management role.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience shipping successful, high-quality products, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions and define success metrics.
- A critical eye for design and a passion for continuous product improvement.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and team meetups.
