About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Product, Growth to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this strategic leadership role, you will report directly to the VP of Product and oversee a team of Product Managers. You will be responsible for the entire subscription funnel, including acquiring new users, boosting engagement, and reducing churn. By partnering with cross-functional leaders across engineering, design, marketing, and our newsroom, you will shape the product vision and execute initiatives that enhance the user experience across both our platform and off-platform channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the long-term strategy and roadmap for key product areas, ensuring they align with our broader business objectives and user needs.
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives by coordinating with various departments to drive impact and reporting progress to executive stakeholders.
- Mentor and manage a team of Product Managers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high-quality output.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of experience in product leadership, specifically within a team or functional management capacity.
- Proven expertise in developing consumer-facing digital products and a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from inception to execution.
- Demonstrated success in people management and a genuine passion for sports and journalism.
- A willingness to experiment, learn from failure, and iterate on user experiences.
Location
This position is remote, available to candidates based in the United States and Canada.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is $170,000.00 to $190,000.00 USD. In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and future:
