Director of Product, Crypto at Proof

At Proof, we are dedicated to building trust, identity, and security into the digital world. As our Director of Product for Crypto, you will lead the strategy, vision, and execution of our product portfolio tailored for the crypto ecosystem. This is a high-impact role where you will define how we bring secure transactions and identity assurance to the forefront of Web3. You will collaborate with leading stablecoin issuers, exchanges, and payment processors to build a new category from the ground up, reporting directly to the VP of Product.

Key outcomes

• Define the long-term product strategy for our crypto initiatives, focusing on how identity and authentication integrate into blockchain and payment workflows.
• Lead discovery efforts with partners and customers to identify value in areas like travel rule compliance, AML and KYC workflows, and digital identity.
• Partner with engineering to guide architectural decisions and technical execution for complex products.
• Develop clear roadmaps and success metrics while presenting strategic insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Represent Proof at industry events and conferences to build strong relationships across the Web3 ecosystem.
• Mentor and guide a small team of product managers to ensure alignment across our GTM and strategy teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in product management within B2B or B2B2C SaaS environments.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience bringing products from 0 to 1, with a preference for those who have served as a founding product manager.
• Deep expertise in the crypto space, including a strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals, stablecoins, AML, compliance, and crypto payment rails.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and a bias toward action.
• Comfort leading technical discussions regarding APIs, SDKs, platform design, and data flows.
• Excellent communication skills and the executive presence required to influence cross-functional partners.
• A passion for building secure, identity-assured systems.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in the payments industry or familiarity with frameworks such as RegE.
• An MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• Background in platform products, PKI, identity, or real-time analytics.
