At Calendly, our Data Intelligence team builds and operates a world-class data platform, product analytics capabilities, and AI services that support both internal stakeholders and the millions of users who rely on our scheduling platform every day. We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Analytics to lead this function, reporting to the VP of Data, AI & Analytics. In this role you will guide a team of analysts and people managers, translate complex data into clear strategic direction, and partner closely with product, engineering, and executive leadership to shape the future of our product.
Key outcomes
- Deliver in-depth analysis of product usage and performance data that produces actionable insights and directly influences both day-to-day and long-term product decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics organization that includes individual contributors and people managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and a culture of collaboration.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, and data-platform teams to embed data-driven practices throughout the product-development lifecycle.
- Define and communicate product goals, strategies, and enterprise-wide success metrics while supporting rigorous experimentation and measurement programs.
- Conduct market and user-behavior research that identifies opportunities for product improvement and competitive advantage.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders, using clear narratives that drive informed decision-making.
- Advance internal analytics platforms and tooling that enable marketing, sales, product, and customer-experience teams to work more effectively.
- Identify product and operational challenges and recommend elegant, data-informed solutions that improve performance and support business growth.
- Develop and manage budgets that ensure resources are allocated efficiently to priority product initiatives.
- Continuously refine processes, systems, and strategies to increase product effectiveness and accelerate Calendly’s growth.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of experience as a product analyst, including at least five years leading analytics teams that contain people managers, with a demonstrated record of hiring and developing top talent.
- Expert-level proficiency with modern data-analysis tools and SQL, plus deep experience designing and running A/B tests and leveraging testing platforms.
- Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps that shape product direction.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the capacity to align analytics work with overarching company goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting insights to C-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering findings that influence cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and customer-behavior analysis that informs product decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience at large-scale consumer-product companies.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
Compensation
Base-salary ranges for this position, depending on geographic tier, are $187,000–$253,000 USD (Tier 3), $205,700–$278,300 USD (Tier 2), and $224,400–$303,600 USD (Tier 1). In addition to base salary, all full-time employees are eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program, equity awards, and a competitive benefits package. Remote-work flexibility is provided as part of our total rewards offering.
