Role at a glance
We are seeking a Director of Prime Power to oversee the maintenance, operations, and service of our Microgrid fleet. This is a full-time position at the Director level, offering a hybrid work arrangement based out of our offices in Ridgewood, New Jersey, or New York City. You will report directly to our Vice President of Execution and play a vital role in our national operations.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of technicians to ensure the operational excellence of our prime power and CHP microgrid applications across the United States.
- Design and implement service standards, safety procedures, and preventative maintenance strategies to maximize system performance and reliability.
- Manage the annual operations and maintenance budget while developing robust tracking systems to optimize resource allocation and spare parts inventory.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership skills. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in prime power and CHP applications.
- Proven experience in a managerial capacity with a track record of motivating teams and delivering results in high-pressure environments.
- Deep technical knowledge of reciprocating engines, generators, switchgear, controls, and associated energy systems.
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in financial budgeting, cost impact analysis, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, asset managers, and external partners.
- Fluency in English.
