About the Role:

Hive Media Group is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Director of Paid Media to work alongside our executive team and lead our Paid Media efforts across native, social and search platforms. The ideal candidate will lead our Paid Media team, be hands-on in the daily management and optimization of paid media campaigns and be responsible for setting and executing Hive’s strategic media buying goals. Responsibilities:

• Own Paid Media strategy setting and execution, ensuring KPIs and objectives are met both in the short and long term. 
• Manage, mentor and train our team of Paid Media Buyers in the US and Canada
• Drive the culture of the team to maximize performance and innovation 
• Responsible for the management and optimization of paid media campaigns across social, native, and display platforms.
• Brainstorm and organize testing of new ideas for paid media campaigns and report on results with a plan to roll out successes more broadly.
• Oversees new platform research and viability. 
• Work cross-functionally with content, business intelligence, R&D, and revenue teams in the US and Canadian offices to execute business objectives.

Skill Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience leading Paid Media Teams in the Digital Publishing, Search marketing, affiliate or E-comm industries.
• Familiar with the monetization of digital publishing and the distribution of digital content.
• Proven hands-on experience and expertise with one or more of the following media buying platforms is preferred: Facebook advertising, Taboola, Outbrain, TikTok, X (Twitter) and Google Search and Display Network.
• Experience using business intelligence tools and reporting platforms such as Tableau and Looker
• Must be experienced in analyzing data and/or market research.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google Suite of Products.
• Flexible, startup mindset and ability to operate within a very dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Must possess exceptional communications skills that extend across departments with the ability to articulate complex concepts, conveying strategic objectives and fostering productive relationships.
• Business acumen with a capacity for strategic thinking.
• Extremely detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, and have the technical aptitude for learning new technologies.

This role compensation package includes an annual base salary ranging between $100,000 - $135,000 (based on candidates' experience and skill set), and other benefits, including:
