Owner is an all-in-one platform designed to help restaurants thrive in the digital age. We provide a suite of tools that allow restaurant owners to manage their websites, handle online orders, create branded apps, and streamline marketing automations. Think of us as a specialized version of Shopify and HubSpot built specifically for the restaurant industry. Since our founding three years ago, we have generated tens of millions in revenue and processed hundreds of millions of orders. We are currently looking for a Director of IT & Security to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote-first position, though we are specifically looking for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area who can join our team for periodic in-person collaboration at our headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy while overseeing the daily operations of our IT services and infrastructure.
- Manage our network architecture and cloud security, including the oversight of vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response protocols.
- Lead our IT and security teams by fostering a high-performance culture, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring we maintain robust data governance and risk management policies.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role focused on security and network administration.
- Deep technical expertise in information security frameworks, cloud security, and incident response.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, and professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
What we offer
We provide a competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 USD, complemented by a generous pre-IPO equity package. Our benefits include:
