EquipmentShare is looking for a Director of IT Operations to lead our growing technology department. As a company dedicated to transforming the construction industry through innovation, we need a strategic leader who can ensure our IT infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and highly efficient while supporting our dynamic business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level leadership and oversight for our IT project management, logistics, procurement, support services, and transformation teams.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align our IT operations with broader business objectives.
- Cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Drive operational excellence by managing incident, problem, and service level management processes.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service level agreement compliance.
- Ensure all IT projects are delivered on time and within budget using industry best practices.
- Optimize our technology procurement strategies and asset management logistics.
- Guide our transformation initiatives to implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance service delivery.
Must-haves
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive background in IT operations management with experience leading multiple functional teams.
- Proven ability to perform strategic planning and align technical operations with business goals.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks like ITIL and managing service level agreements.
- Experience with Google Workspace and Jamf for device and operational management.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- A track record of successfully managing IT transformation projects and implementing innovative solutions.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional certifications in IT operations, project management, or cloud technologies.
- Specific certifications such as ITIL Foundation.
