Director of Hardware and Service Products at InCharge Energy

We are looking for a Director of Hardware and Service Products to lead the strategy and lifecycle management of our electric vehicle supply equipment, battery energy storage, and service offerings. This is a remote-friendly leadership role where you will drive innovation and ensure our hardware portfolio remains at the cutting edge of the clean energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Define product use cases, analyze market requirements, and build robust business cases for new initiatives.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to successful market launch.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, software product managers, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product integration and testing.
• Translate technical hardware specifications into clear business documentation for our sales and operations teams.
• Support Go/No Go decision processes based on rigorous functional and commercial evaluations.
• Work cross-functionally to gather the voice of the customer and provide necessary training and support.
• Monitor project progress and escalate technical hurdles or process inefficiencies with actionable improvement recommendations.

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in hardware product management, R&D, or technical business development, ideally within the clean tech or energy sector.
• Strong technical familiarity with EVSE and battery energy storage technologies.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A self-motivated, adaptable approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 USD.
