Director of Hardware and Service Products at InCharge Energy

We are looking for a visionary Director of Hardware and Service Products to join our team and help shape the future of energy infrastructure. At InCharge Energy, we focus on delivering comprehensive EV charging solutions, including EVSE hardware, battery energy storage, and our specialized InCharge service offerings. You will lead our efforts to turn complex market needs into cutting-edge, customer-centric products. Reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely or from our offices in Richmond or Santa Monica as you guide our hardware portfolio toward new levels of innovation and market success.

What you'll be doing

• You will define product use cases and requirements while building robust business cases to ensure our hardware and service offerings remain competitive and profitable.
• You will lead the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and RFP management to final launch, while ensuring seamless integration with our InControl software platform.
• You will serve as a bridge between departments, collaborating closely with engineering, sales, and operations to translate technical specifications into clear documentation and actionable strategies that help our teams scale effectively.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in hardware product management, R&D, or technical business development, ideally within the clean tech or energy sectors.
• Deep familiarity with EVSE and battery energy storage technologies.
• A data-driven mindset and the ability to make informed decisions that align with our long-term product roadmap.
• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English across cross-functional teams.
• A self-motivated, adaptable approach to work and a commitment to delivering world-class quality in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll get
