At LeoLabs, we are dedicated to securing the future of space. As the leading provider of integrated solutions for space safety and security, we utilize a global radar network and an AI-powered platform to monitor over 21,000 objects in low Earth orbit. Our work provides critical insights to military commands, government agencies, and commercial operators, helping them protect their assets in an increasingly busy space environment. We are looking for an experienced Director of Events to join our team and help us shape how we connect with our partners and customers across the globe.
What you'll be doing
- You will lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for a diverse portfolio of events, including trade shows, corporate conferences, and virtual experiences that align with our broader business and marketing goals.
- You will oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring that every event is delivered with operational excellence while negotiating effectively with vendors to maintain high quality and cost-efficiency.
- You will collaborate closely with our marketing, sales, and product teams to create cohesive messaging, manage customer meeting schedules, and drive engagement through pre-event and post-event campaigns.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep background in event production and a passion for strategic planning. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- More than 15 years of experience in event management, with a strong focus on large-scale corporate or industry events.
- Previous experience working within the space, defense, or national security sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, or Event Management.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects, including both virtual and hybrid formats.
- Strong proficiency in event management software and platforms.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Eligibility to obtain necessary authorizations under U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
What you'll get
We offer a flexible work environment designed to support your success and well-being.
- The ability to work in a remote capacity from anywhere.
