Responsibilities

- Oversee resource allocation, project timelines, and cross-team dependencies to ensure we meet our customer commitments.
- Foster a resilient, high-pace engineering culture that emphasizes end-to-end ownership, from development and testing to deployment and support.
- Partner closely with product managers to translate requirements into actionable plans and ensure alignment across the leadership team.
- Hire, mentor, and retain top-tier engineering talent while building a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Maintain a hands-on approach, staying deeply involved in technical details while driving strategic initiatives.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 4 or more years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of building and supporting enterprise SaaS products, specifically those that handle large-scale data streaming.
- Experience scaling engineering teams in a startup environment, ideally growing a team from under 20 to 40+ members.
- Proficiency in building and delivering services using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, backlog management, and Jira.
- Experience managing fully distributed teams and collaborating with design, product, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and an ownership mindset with a bias for action.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience spearheading research and development initiatives to identify new project opportunities or process improvements.
- Ability to represent the engineering organization through internal and external presentations.
Benefits
- Equity compensation packages.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Flexible time off and parental leave.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Monthly connectivity stipend.
- Pre-tax benefits including FSA for health, dependent care, and commuting.
