Role at a glance
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to join us on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical future while leading a global team of talented engineers.
Your impact
- Strategic technical leadership: You will set the technical direction for our engineering team and ensure that industry-leading best practices are implemented across all of our projects.
- Architectural oversight: You will be responsible for the design and architecture of our scalable software solutions and APIs, ensuring every decision aligns with our broader business goals.
- Team development: You will mentor and manage our engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture defined by excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
What you'll need
We are looking for a leader who brings a blend of deep technical knowledge and people-management skills. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualifications:
- At least ten years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant amount of time spent in a leadership capacity.
- Proven expertise in Python and Django ORM, along with familiarity using Angular for front-end development.
- Extensive experience in architecting complex software systems and robust APIs.
- A strong grasp of security best practices, DevOps workflows, and CI/CD tooling.
- Bonus points for experience with ML infrastructure, authentication protocols like OAuth 2 or SAML 2, and platform integrations.
