Role at a glance

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will be responsible for defining the strategy for our App engineering function, which serves as the primary interface for our SMB customers across major platforms like Shopify and Wix.

Your impact

• Partner closely with Product Management to define and execute the engineering roadmap for our core App services.
• Mentor and lead engineering managers, fostering a culture of operational excellence and system ownership.
• Direct the software development lifecycle, ensuring our architecture remains high-performing and scalable as we support growing brands.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you should be a strategic thinker with a deep background in software development and team leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience leading engineering teams, with at least 5 years of experience managing other engineering managers.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Go.
• Proven experience navigating both monolithic and service-based architectures.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Professional fluency in English.

Perks and compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $210,000 to $284,000, depending on your location and experience. In addition to base pay and equity, we offer a comprehensive benefits package:
