SingleStore is looking for a Director of Engineering
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our Managed Service team in Hyderabad. At SingleStore, we are building a comprehensive data platform that empowers enterprises to handle operational and analytic data with high performance and scalability, and you will play a key role in shaping the future of our cloud native database solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team responsible for our control plane and Kubernetes operator.
- Define and execute the technical development roadmap for our managed services.
- Collaborate with our database engine, infrastructure, product, and go-to-market teams to prioritize features and deliver a cohesive product.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
- Remove obstacles for your team to ensure they can iterate quickly and maintain high-quality standards.
- Attract and retain top-tier engineering talent to support our rapid growth.
Must-haves
- Proven track record of hiring, leading, and retaining exceptional engineering talent.
- Extensive experience developing tools and services within a SaaS environment.
- Strong background in cloud native service delivery, with deep expertise in Kubernetes and containerization.
- Hands-on experience working with major cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience managing and collaborating with distributed teams.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Practical experience working with the Go programming language.
