We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis to help us continue our mission of excellence.
Key outcomes
- Establish and lead a centralized facility engineering and maintenance function to ensure standardization across our production network.
- Develop and execute comprehensive engineering strategies that support our cultivation, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
- Provide technical oversight for facility infrastructure, including HVAC, environmental controls, horticultural lighting, and building management systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Construction team to guide new facility designs, retrofits, and capital expenditure planning.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and utilize data-driven insights to optimize equipment performance and production efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party agreements to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all engineering projects and facility operations strictly adhere to health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training staff on industry trends, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering role, with at least 5 years of experience managing senior-level talent.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred, though relevant facilities engineering experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, review, and approve complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication, organizational, and quantitative skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to comply with all industry-specific legal and company regulations.
- Ability to travel to various production facilities throughout the United States as needed, estimated at approximately 25 percent of the time.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working within the cannabis industry.
- Technical proficiency in CAD modeling software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical guidelines, including GMP, GDP, and ASTM standards.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 USD. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, which includes:
