Director of Engineering at CallRail

We are CallRail, a company dedicated to helping businesses track and manage their marketing performance through powerful software. We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead our Engineering Foundations department, which encompasses platform engineering, site reliability, developer enablement, and telephony. You will guide the teams responsible for building the reliable, scalable infrastructure that our product developers rely on every day. This is a hybrid position based out of our downtown Atlanta headquarters, where you will be expected to work from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of managers and principal engineers to ensure the development of high-traffic, high-availability software applications.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of developer environments and continuous delivery pipelines that allow our teams to deploy code safely and frequently.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define service level objectives, manage cloud infrastructure spending on platforms like AWS and Datadog, and align technical roadmaps with our broader business goals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing multiple engineering teams and managers, specifically within infrastructure and product development environments.
• A proven track record of evolving developer enablement programs and release engineering to improve delivery capabilities.
• Strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to build consensus and create roadmaps that prioritize long-term business value.
• Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies and a focus on continuous deployment.
• Success in balancing security and regulatory compliance with the need for rapid feature development.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical strategies to executive leadership.
