We are looking for a strategic Director of Engineering to lead our teams in building innovative patient outreach platforms that help primary care physicians keep their patients healthy. Founded in 2014, Aledade has grown into the largest network of independent primary care in the country, and you will play a vital role in our mission to improve health outcomes for millions through technology that prevents unnecessary hospitalizations.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team by hiring top talent and supporting their professional growth.
- Provide strong technical leadership by driving solution design and establishing clear project roadmaps.
- Set ambitious goals for your team and proactively remove roadblocks to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders across the organization to align engineering efforts with our broader business outcomes.
- Partner with other engineering leaders to foster excellence in our internal processes and technical systems.
Must-haves
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience as an engineer and technical lead, specifically in building highly scalable and reliable software.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience leading technical teams.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Proven success in guiding technical teams and architects toward building scalable, configurable platforms.
- Experience developing platforms that utilize SMS, texting, and calling communication channels.
- Hands-on expertise in full-stack development, specifically with Python, JavaScript, AWS, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience evaluating third-party vendors and integrating them into complex, large-scale systems.
- A background in scaling software solutions within fast-paced environments, particularly in healthcare technology.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to represent engineering interests in executive leadership discussions.
