Role at a glance

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our Membership group. This is a full-time, executive-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will be responsible for guiding the engineering strategy for our consumer-facing products, ensuring we continue to provide world-class care services to our members.

Your impact

• Lead and mentor a talented engineering organization of approximately 20 people, including engineering managers and principal engineers.
• Drive the architectural strategy and technical execution for growth initiatives, focusing on acquisition, onboarding, activation, and reengagement.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business leaders to deliver scalable, high-quality features that support our global user base.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep background in software engineering and a proven track record of leadership. We are looking for candidates who are fluent in English and bring the following qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success as a director in a company of similar scale, specifically managing teams of around 20 people.
• Expertise in mobile and web development, with hands-on experience using Flutter, React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Strong proficiency in cloud architecture, testing, monitoring, and alerting.
• A solid understanding of backend architecture and design patterns like MVC and MVVM.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
