We are now seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the teams responsible for Visit Experience, the core product area that powers seamless, intelligent care journeys for millions of members and providers across the United States.
Key outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering organization that includes senior engineering managers and their teams, fostering a culture of innovation, execution, and technical excellence.
- Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for Visit Experience, ensuring seamless, high-quality virtual care journeys across Pre-Visit, In-Visit, and Post-Visit workflows.
- Drive AI and automation initiatives that improve care delivery through conversational AI, wearable data integration, and smart workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical, Product, Go-to-Market, and AI teams to align technology decisions with business objectives and patient needs.
- Develop and execute a continuous-improvement roadmap that advances pre-visit preparation, in-visit interactions, and post-visit follow-up experiences.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic leadership in the design of scalable, secure, and user-centric healthcare solutions while balancing speed, efficiency, and innovation.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of engineering experience, including at least five years in a leadership role managing managers and scaling teams.
- Proven success leading engineering teams that build and scale consumer-facing, AI-powered digital experiences.
- Deep technical expertise in distributed systems and modern web or mobile application development.
- Strong ability to influence and align technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact innovation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Full professional proficiency in English.

- Experience with AI/ML, automation, and data-driven product development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrated passion for improving healthcare through technology.
Compensation
The United States new-hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are Zone A: $188,270 – $265,930, Zone B: $207,097 – $292,523, Zone C: $225,924 – $319,116, and Zone D: $244,751 – $345,709. Each range includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Starting base salary depends on education, training, skills, years and depth of experience, certifications, internal equity, organizational considerations, and geographic market data. In addition to base pay, the role offers a remote-first culture, a 401(k) savings plan through Fidelity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage including disability insurance, Paid Time Off and Discretionary Time Off, twelve weeks of 100 percent paid parental leave, family-building and compassionate leave benefits, and work-from-home reimbursement to support home-office collaboration.
