What you bring

We are seeking an executive-level Director of Engineering to spearhead our Research and Insights division. In this full-time role, you will lead the development of products that demonstrate the efficacy of our platform to our clients. You will be based in our New York City office, working in a hybrid capacity to drive our technical vision forward. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining automated data ingestion and ETL pipelines.
• Creating sophisticated data aggregations, APIs, and performance visualizations.
• Leading a talented team of software engineers to deliver consistent business value through agile methodologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses over a decade of professional software development experience with a deep focus on back-end and data engineering. You should be a seasoned manager who excels at coaching teams and fostering professional growth. We value candidates who have a strong command of computer science fundamentals and operational best practices, including test-driven development, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD. Proficiency in Python, AWS cloud infrastructure, and distributed computing frameworks like Spark is highly preferred. You must be an exceptional communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and cross-functional partners, all while maintaining a collaborative spirit in agile environments.

What we offer

For this position, the base salary range is between $200,000 and $250,000, which is supplemented by an annual cash bonus and equity compensation.
